A New Thanksgiving

I am beyond excited for tomorrow. We are leaving in the morning and driving to Travis' mom's to have Thanksgiving dinner, I am baking little peanut/cashew clusters with dark chocolate/butterscotch and white chocolate/peppermint :)

Then we're going to see his dad and staying at a hotel! Paid for! I'm super excited, I just adore hotels now.

I am in such a different place this Thanksgiving than I was last year and I still can hardly believe it and how great things are. I'm am so giddy that it's pretty gay.

Gah, I have a super cute outfit too, plaid high waisted skirt, black tights with gray socks, gray 3/4 length shirt, with black patten Steve Madden heels.

What If?

Ever since I can remember, New York has been on my mind. Now with events unfolding it doesn't seem like a distant dream anymore. The best part is that I have never felt this way and adding that to New York is surreal. Yes Ching, you can sleep on our couch :)

Around 1 we went to downtown Woods to get coffee and walked to the Greenhouse to admire the amazing Christmas decorations and plan how we would decorate if we had tons of money. It was an amazing sunny cold afternoon, both of us in our peacoats and dressed up. We went to Boundary for lunch, Travis had the beer sampler too, which i sipped. I prefer coffee :)

After that we drove to the Chrysalis to check in around 2:30, we got into our room and my basket was up there that I made, it included Champagne, 3 truffles, bubble bath, CD, and a candle. The staff also left us a little bottle of champagne with flutes, which we quickly opened. It was so sunny and the window seat was huge, soft, warm, and amazing. We put on our robes right when we got there and drank champagne and laid on the window seat.

After some play time...we went down around 4:30 to use the steam rooms in the spa, I couldn't be in there too long, so i went up to the room, got my outfit, and lit the candle etc, after more play time...around 6:30 we decided to get all dressed up again and walk into Fairhaven for dinner.

An amazing walk there since it was a great not raining night out. We walked around Fairhaven, window shopping and went to Archer's for a drink. I'd never been and it felt like New York. I had an Absolute Ruby Red and he had a ridiculously dark beer called the Abyss. After our drinks and me babbling on about riding, we finally were hungry around 8ish.

We decided on Dirty Dan's bc neither of us had been. Turns out the waitress worked with Travis and gave us a discount. We had gorgonzola covered bread, grilled caeasar salad, he had ribs for dinner and I had a grilled pear walnut salad, then we had a piece of chocolate cake(almost identical to the one at Temple) and a glass of champagne, which was free.

We then walked back to the hotel and grabbed a movie from downstairs and got into the giant bath, the bubble stuff made it all blue and it was amazing. We were so exhausted, I was out by 11:30.

I woke up at 7 anxious to take another bath, which i did, then we went down for the breakfast buffet which I owned, definitly beat him at it, then I went back to the steam room for a while, and back up for another bath (3rd one) He was napping in the window seat while I would crawl on him between my steam and bath. Then we took a shower in the amazing stand up granite tiled shower, gah. And sadly had to check out at noon.

It was more than i had hoped or expected. It was beyond perfect. I went for a run when i got home around downtown and am off for a nap now before work.

November

8 days until we spend the night at Chrysalis :) I'm working everyday before then and saving money for it. I can't wait :)

This Saturday is the auction. The girls are helping for it, i'm really glad, should be a million times better than last year.

I also am spending Thanksgiving with Travis' family, I am so so excited to meet everyone!

This holiday season makes me so giddy, I am so in love, and in the best place I have ever been.

I'm going to be extra gay this season. Gah
