A Good Look At Things

I think i am still processing everything that has come to the front. This is why i had a serious lack of trust towards people. I considered 'her' one of my best friends, since we were 14. Everything we saw each other through, i thought had meant something. However, the entire time she was backstabbing me in a way that is absolutely unforgiveable. I am at a place in my life where those things are not to be put up with. A year ago, i would have given her an excuse and excused it and went on with things. However, now, i will not. My life/sanity/happiness is better for it.

I think back to the nights/days when i 'thought' i was happy back then and it makes me sick to realize what 'she' and 'him' were doing. There is no excuse. Friends do not do that.

A friend is someone who brings out the best in you, always. They support you, go out of their way for you, and never sabatoge or attempt to ruin a relationship, especially when it is with someone you love.

I cut it off this morning and am relieved about it.

To my true friends:

Alex, Zoe, Abby, Val, Sarah, Autumn, Shu-Jeng. You people are the real thing. I have never known what you guys have shown me. I have never known friends like that. You all truly bring out the best in me, you bring out in me what i thought was gone. And for that, i am forever grateful.

Leaves

First off i am so glad i'm not at Varner. I have an interview Thursday now at Chrysalis, i get to dress up at least :)

Second, i ran 4.5 miles tonight and it felt great.

Third, I am in a really good place. Ching said it was good to see me like this. Everyone notices. I guess i didn't notice how different i had been.

Last, but not least, love feels really good :) Lunch, scarves, walking downtown and going though antique and furniture stores with my boy was so great, especially with the weather being amazing.

I'm Back!

Ah Ha! Finally, after a month, Nick and I have the 'interweb.' It's good to be back.

Updates!?! For my lovely Sarah Poo. Who i miss dearly and am incredibly jealous of all her amazing photos.

September is winding down and all of a sudden it is fall. I adore the cold nights, more of an excuse to wear scarves, peacoats, and cuddle with Travis. It's raining for the first time in a few weeks, as i sit here in my living room looking outside. I bought my first pumpkin of the year too, a small one in our window.

I start my new job on Monday at Varner Sytsma and Herdon CPA's. I met with Dennis yesterday, the owner of Reset Games. So, here is my attempt to explain my job....I work for Varner CPA Firm, i get my own cubical, computer, phone, etc, except i am the accountant/book keeper for Reset Game (in Sunset), the owners of Reset Games are Kathy Varner (one of the firm partners) and Dennis. So i will be working out of her firm, but technically for Reset Games. I am on payroll (10 bucks an hour baby!) and am beyond looking forward to catching up on not being broke. LORD. It has been a rough few months with money. I'm not sure how many hours i'm going to be working, they said 20-40? So, i'll just know more about that on Monday. Because i still want to work at Paper Dreams, because i love it.

Tomorrow, my mama and me are going on shopping adventures. First stop, Southcenter H&M for 'office attire', then to Downtown to see Shrek the musical, then to Nordstrom and American Apparel, where i will be getting new fur boots and that amazing dress. Gah. Can't wait.

I also can't wait for October. I love Halloween time.

Also, i will explain more in detail to my ladies later, i found out so so many things last night about Matt. Oh wow. I knew it was bad, but it was a lot worse than i had imagined. Pathetic to say the very least. Andy wasn't surprised. I guess deep down wasn't either. Nevertheless, once again, leaving was the best thing that has ever happened to me. Wow.

I am so very happy.

Also, Ching's been home and it has been so much fun. Love having her back.

Off to PAPER DREAMS BITCHES!

~~~**
Monday i have an interview for a secretary job in Ferndale, then....
Tuesday i have an interview with Varner Systma CPA's!! After two phone interviews, one of which was a conference interview with one of their clients, they want to meet me!! Time to get dolled up like a professional and bring them my resume with B.A.
I'm super nervous and excited.
Downtown Seattle with Travis was amazing. I got my ring cleaned at Tiffany's, we went to Nordstrom and tried out amazing expensive shoes, Gucci for him, D&G for me :) Gah, then we had to leave before we got too depressed. I love the butterflies :)
Tonight, the Ching and I are going to Poppes. Glad the Ching is back.
Quite An Update
It's been a while due to moving and not having internet. I'm sitting at downtown Woods, which is a block from my new home, and it's time for an update.
I think of this time last year and it scares me. I was 84 pounds, getting ready for my senior year at Western, afraid of things i had found in my relationship, and too weak of a person to say anything or stand up for myself. What a change.
Summer is winding down and it's odd to not be registering for classes this fall. As my mother so lovely put it, the party's over. I've sent my new updated (B.A. in Sociology) resume to law firms in town this week, hoping to get a chance to work in a firm while i study for the LSAT's. I still want to keep some hours at Paper Dreams if i do get hired elsewhere, the girls of Paper Dreams have helped me tons through rough times and i love them.
I adore more than anything waking up, walking on my balcony and looking at the ocean. My runs have gone from 1 mile to 3 miles now, running to Boulavard is amazing. It's an amazing place. I love living with Nick, seriously, best roommate ever. It was really good getting out of the old apartment too, a lot of old bad memories. A new start.
Sarah leaves for Greece next Wednesday. If Matt and I were still together, i would have never gotten to become so close to Sarah and the rest of the girls. I am truly blessed beyond anything. The friendships i've made have been the best i have ever known. I will miss the SHIT out of her but at least we all have a group blog to keep each other updated! She'll be back in no time, then girl trip to the Melting Pot :)
I am really in love with the girls :) I have never had girlfriends like this.
HOWEVER, CHING gets here tomorrow, who has always been a real friend that has actually lasted. I cannnnot wait for her to get in! Holy hell.
Travis' birthday is tomorrow, the big 24 :) He's more excited for the first Seahawks game, such a nerd and i love it :) I'm falling for him. It's scary but important to remind myself that not everyone is like my past.
I can't wait to give him his present i made him too tomorrow :)))))))) I made it at Woods today. Gah. ALSO, on Monday we're going to downtown Seattle to go shopping and i get to meet his mom! I'm dressing up and getting my Tiffany's cleaned :) It will be spectacular. Plus, we're going to some really fancy restaurant i've never heard of, perks of dating a boy who cooks.
A few pics to capture the last week or so
:)
Dinner celebrating being moved in. Mo and Travis cooked and i made the harvest salad!!
Sarah's going away party with the girls :)
