I spy...

A fireplace, a flower vase, a deer statue, and 80 people born in 1941. I'm at work and there is a class of '59 reunion going on and they are hella drunk and old. Their banquet room smells delightful too. I see cups of nuts, cocktails, and fruits. Jealous. However, I don't think I could pass for being born in '41....There is a navy banquet going on in the ballroom too, black tie.

We have 2 more check ins and it's not even 7...but we are a full house, so I'm sure something weird will happen. I just ate a white chocolate macadamia Luna bar, delicious. I'm still partial to the peppermint though. Peppermint anything and I'm sold...reminds me of Christmas.

It's chilly in here, but the fireplace is nice. It is definitely fall out. Which makes me regret not bringing a scarf to work for after. I am considering driving home fast to grab one...I sure could use those new leg warmers right about now...

Travis is next door and I am so happy he doesn't have to close tonight. He's been so tired from the last two nights. He came with me today to the grocery store, it was fun and I'm glad he came. I was tempted to grab a pumpkin or two at Freddy's, but I'll wait until at least October 1st.

I really want to plan a Halloween party. That makes me super excited, especially to send out cute invitations.

I would also just like to say, I am in love with our house and life. I am truly madly deeply in love with everything around me (minus ned of course). I am so lucky and thankful. It just feels good. It feels good to know that ned is the only shit in my life. Most importantly I know I can beat it all.

Mkay, off to roam around. Muah!

These powers combined....

Zoloft, power mittens, fur scarves, big socks, fur boots, and shorts.....these things combined I will tackle fall like nobody's business. Brace yourself.

But really, can't wait to put my mittens on in T Minus 3.5 hours. AND American Apparel now carries LEG WARMERS and THIGH HIGH SOCKS, which I will be ordering tomorrow.

Is it too early to say I think the zoloft might be working? Is it really working? Is it just me making it up? Who cares! I feel pretty relaxed. Relaxed? Is that IN my vocabulary? Hardly. But....it just seems like the massive spinning has dulled to a more slow rotating spinning. Let's keep this going ;)

It's Monday and I'm at work, sad because I was hoping to get it off to spend with Travis, but he's watching football and having a great day to himself and I am happy to be at work. Especially since I got a raise today! Yipee! And I get health insurance Nov. 1st. This is exciting.

My next day off is Thursday, which is my mom's birthday, I will spend the afternoon, well going to see my lady, then baking for my mom (that's all she wanted, were the cookies), easy enough for me! Then we are going to Hearthfire for drinks and girl talk, which I have come to grow very fond of and look forward to very much. Last week was Nimbus and it was wonderful.

I'm anxious to get out of here tonight though because we are adventuring to Rumors for Karaoke and pool. Mondays always hold a special place in my heart because of Travis. I will drive super fast home, change, then park my car at my old condo and walk to Rumors, because yes I would rather walk a short distance, plus I'll be alone, safety first.

Okay, my feet hurt, going to sit down.

Monday Monday Monday

That's what they yell in the football commercials but yelling that in the lobby right now probably wouldn't be the best idea. I'm at work, when I got here it was dreary and dark out but now it's actually sunny, funny how this has such an impact on my mood! I just love sun <3

I'm here til 11 tonight but get tomorrow off and I am so so excited to...
A. Do laundry!
B. Lay on the floor
C. Bake something ridiculous, like hot spicy cashew brittle
D. Go with my mama to get drinks/catch up
E. See the ladies hopefully

Peanut is having boys over to watch the two football games tonight. I love that. When I left he was rearranging the man room, organizing, and going through his magic cards and he had the biggest smile on his face about his day of relaxation. I love it.

I slept like complete balls last night. I was never really in a deep sleep and my eyes show it. Hopefully tonight sleep will come easier.

It's also supposed to be like 76 tomorrow, which is wonderful.

Until Later

Perspective, Love, Mittens

I discovered something pretty real today in my meeting with my lady. I was telling her how happy I am right now, my life is so amazing, I am the luckiest person I can imagine. But I haven't been able to let go yet and enjoy it. She told me that I am paralyzed by the fear still. The fear that the disorder yells throughout each day. It's like I have to stand very very still so not to disrupt or disturb anything because of the fear of something bad happening. Instead of living. Instead of enjoy. Being in the present.

This is what I am working on. Being in the present. Life is letting go and living the moments you have. So much of this disease is planning, organizing, and structure to keep the anxiety in check. So hopefully, the zoloft with take the edge off so I can breathe more. I have been learning, mainly from Travis, to relax more during the day. Watching TV is nice. I hope to start a book too and fucking finish it.

I am also stoked for fall time. I started crying this morning, because I was so happy, and I have such great memories from last fall with Travis and everyone and I am so lucky.

This is my life and I cannot let it pass me by because of this.
I can and will be better.

Mitten Time

It is officially mitten time. When I get home, I'm pulling them out. The air is crisp again, I like it, but I'm not built for it. We went to Harris Ave Cafe for brunch today with Travis' mom and Mark, it was really nice. His sister is coming to visit Monday for his birthday and staying with us, I'm looking forward to that a lot.

I have tomorrow off too, which is odd and I am making it a "pamper night." Bath, polish, face, relaxing. That sounds so very good. And so needed :)

Travis took me to the most romantic dinner on Tuesday night at Giuseppi's. We got all dressed up and took our time there, had some cocktails, appetizer, great dinner followed by a movie. It was our first date night since we have moved in, very exciting.

Work's going really well, I love it and the people I have met through it.
