December 26th

Alas, the day after Christmas has come :( A sad day but I'm making the most of it. At least the weather is beautiful and I am very very happy with how well and how much fun my Christmas season was. We did so many things and decorated like champs. I'm very pleased :)

Christmas Eve was a relaxing day. My mom came and picked me up and went home around 1, instead of dinner we did appetizers all day. Included veggies with 4 types of hummus, blue cheese pastry puffs (good god they were spectacular), teriyaki meat balls (gah), shrimp for the boys (ew), chocolate covered raisins, cookie assortment from Costco, crackers with smoked gouda (yum). After we ate lots it was only 5:30...so we drove back to my place to check on little Oliver then drove through the Christmas lights at James Street. We got home and I made a yogurt parfeit and heated up some cookies and watched Julie and Julia, it was okay.Went to bed by 10, gah.

Woke up on Christmas at 7 and we watched the Shrek Christmas. We opened gifts and around 9 I took the van home and set my new stuff up, took the microwave to the garage, redecorated a little, put our NEW flannel Martha Stewart sheets and douvet cover on (amazing), played with Oliver then went back to my parents. Big Oliver came over for dinner, I helped my mom make prime rib, brussel sprouts(YUM), and yams with baked apples. We had dinner around 4 so I just had some apples and brussel sprouts (way too early for a big meal) then they had our candy cane cheesecake, which turned out amazing. I headed home around 5 and had some cranberry wine and was watching a movie with Oliver waiting for Travis to get home.

He was home around 7 and we opened all our gifts and rolled around, put our new stuff away. Watched the rest of Bad Santa and tried to find a place open that had food. Sadly it was only Pizza Pipeline, so he got a pizza there, I had some carrots and BBQ sauce with some of my new candy I got and we watched the Ninth Gate, or until I was passed out by 11.

It was an amazing Christmas.

So I'm here at work now, and going on adventures with people tonight. It will be nice to see how everyone's Christmas was.

I'm so in love with Travis and our home and our Oliver, who loves our new sheets too. It's really beautiful and cold out today and I'm excited to wear my new sweater Travis got me <3 His presents fit me perfectly. Candles, squirrel, strainer, CLEANER, SOCKS, and a beautiful beautiful sweater that I can't wait to put on! Eee!

Thank You

This has been one of the most challenging and rewarding years. I am so much stronger than I was in January and I am thankful for every hard point I went through, because all of my friends were there to support me and me and Travis grew so much together and I cannot believe how in love I am and how much more I fall in love each day.

So thank you to everyone I love. It has been an incredible year.

Last Weekend Before Christmas

What?! It amazes me each year how fast these few months go. Especially when it seems that other months drag by.

Alas, the last Saturday before Christmas. I went to the mall! Crazy people. But I scored a rad deal. I had bought these dark skinny jeans from AE about a month ago, I still hadn't worn them because they didn't fit well and gave me anxiety. But I had no receipt or tag, but thought I might as well try to return them. Turns out I got store credit and they were having a buy one get one half off sale. I got 2 super cute long sleeve sweaters that are striped, green and navy. Plus, I hadn't even spent all the money so got a $10 gift card. A pretty good deal getting rid of mean jeans that would never work for shirts that I adore.

I also went to Bonnie's this morning to decorate her condo for Christmas. Her family comes up Wednesday and she is in the middle of a giant remodel. It was fun to talk to her and see all her stuff. Me, her, and my mom are going to Hearthfire on Tuesday. I'm really looking forward to that.

I'm at work, we have a few Christmas parties tonight so it's sorta busy with people dressed in either nice clothes or santa hats. It's cute. I also got $3 for calling someone a cab.

I'm in love with Oliver, even if he hasn't successfully used the litter box yet....I hope he does tonight while he's in the bathroom. He's so cute and just craves attention, especially this morning. I was in the kitchen with him and he was a little snuggle bug. He's getting a lot braver too. He jumps from things now and runs a little faster. He's our little guy. We love him. He likes to go under the blanket when Travis makes a cave too.

I'm excited to be off. I get to see Sarah and Val and it will be nice to get a drink.

A Year

Well It's about that time of year again where I normally recap the year. Only good things too.

January!
A cold, dreary January had to be spruced up with parties to keep us from going insane with the awful weather.
Parties such as....The Lost Premiere Party, Obama party, and Superbowl party.
Val's 21st was this month also, spent at Jalapenos and out and about.
My parents also adopted Noah at 5 weeks old.
Travis and I adventured to Scotty Brown's opening also.
January also had lots of girl's nights at Autumn's. I will never forget Val's stuffed mushrooms.
February

It seems that people either love or hate February. It was of course gross weather, still sad from the holidays being over. However, we made it work.
We had many girl's nights,
a night at GLOW NIGHTCLUB, lots of Ranch Room visits, even on Valentine's Day.
March
Oh March, in like a lion out like a lamb? More like in like a hungry lion and out like a full lion. Am I right?
We took some hella gift cards and us girls spent a night out at Hearthfire getting baller apps and desserts.

We also ventured down to Abby's parents house for Andrew's play Urine Town, accompanied by Winston the condom and a lot of Dildos with Mojitos...
Travis and I took a couple days off and spent a night in Auburn at his mom's house, complete with a trip to Ikea.
April
April finally came with nice weather. Something we all needed so much. It was also the month of Dirty Dan Days! A nice hot day of lounging and eating Mexican.

April, the Market opened! Sarah and Abby were there lots making delicious hot dogs.
It was also the month of Sarah's Epic Birthday. Christ. No words.

Poops we love you.

I also started my short-lived business but at least got to have a booth at the Spring Showcase which was fun.

May
May was so welcomed. With sun, BBQ's, and frolicking.
Also, who can forget Cinco de Mayo! Spent at Dos Padres and the Nightlight. Also, we learned our Autumn was having a baby

Lots of girl's trips to Rumors too this month, especially with the drier weather.
And yes, trips to the Ranch Room playing Fluxx.

June
The official month of summer! Here we come! To the Ranch!

Trying to get toys and snacks? It was our one year and we spent it none other than at the zoo.
July
July came in hot and heavy....
The 4th was spent with the girls admiring the fireworks from the Hearthfire.

Also, it was Nick's FINALLY 21st birthday. A great epic day.It was also my first camping trip and Travis' family reunion!
August
My favorite month sort of? It was my birthday and we moved into our little home and had a great house warming party, of which I sorta got sleepy...

A great party none-the-less
Travis also took me to Portland for a vacation/Birthday. It was amazing.
September
A month of living in a new place and Travis' birthday. A surprise party at Jalapenos and a trip to the Get Up Kids concert down south.

This is just way cute....
Surprise!

Again...precious..
October

Finally the start of the holiday season! We decorated like nobody's business and had quite an epic Halloween party.

And yes, the Ranch Room.
November
November was the month of Autumn's baby shower and little did we know, about 2 weeks later the arrival of Noele.

A month of consistent D&D Monday night games! With my own set of dice...

Awesome times
Also, Thanksgiving with Travis' family and Black Friday shopping!
December
Here we are in December, already. The year really has flown. A hard year filled with a lot of problems and struggles along with a lot of strong friendships, bonding, and falling more in love each day than I can even explain. And soon we will have our little kitten home with us <3

Christmas Nuts

December 16th! Gah! I can't believe it. I love Christmas so so much and never want it to end. I still haven't made a ginger bread house!? Shit, I must get on that.

I'm working reservations today, 10-6, which is rad because I am sitting down and wrapping a gift, finishing a couple Christmas cards and blogging. I love my job.

Hopefully I'll get to see my ladies tonight. That would be nice, I miss them bunches.

Seattle was so amazing, I had a great time. I cannot wait for us to get our kitten too :) Margaret hasn't called back the Humane Society yet....I've already called her once today, but she didn't answer. Our kitten doesn't want to be in that cage anymore. RRR. I'm calling her every hour today.

I love our kitten. I love Travis and our kitten :)

Christmas Nuts!

Chestnuts! That's what Travis and I are, snuggled up in front of our fire, with our snuggie, and Christmas tree with it's blue lights and sparkly balls :) A couple of Christmas nuts :) Could life get any better?
I am engulfed with the Holiday season. I have so much to be thankful for. It's been an up and down year but I think I am ending it much stronger than I was. I have been through a lot and pushed through it. There were falls along the way and there still will be. But at least I know I can do it. With the help of Travis, my friends, and my family I know I can do anything. God, that sounds so gay.

This month has been so much fun already! Recap shall we! I think yes!

December 1st--> We had a FAB BBQ at Mojave's house, complete with Ruby Red vodka, and hot tubbing! A super great fun night full of delicious food, good company, and a hot tub!

December 2nd--> A quiet night watching Top Chef, season finale part 1!

December 3rd-->A super fun adventure night to one of our new favorite places, Copper Hog. Bundled up at the bar with the Christmas lights drinking yummy martinis is a great night. Followed by smoked gouda popcorn! A new favorite snack. Oh, and I wore jeans that night, points for me.

December 4th-->A sunny cold day, I made my Christmas presents for my friends and fell asleep next my favorite nut.

December 5th-->Here I am now at work! I'm off at 11 then meeting Val downtown and hopefully some others for another adventure night. A cold one for sure, but I have lots of warm attire.

Things I"m looking forward to......

December 9th Wednesday for the Business of the Year Banquet at the Lakeway in the ballroom. 6-10, catered dinner, drinks, and my parents are nominated. PLUS, Travis gets to come! Dress up time.

December 15th Tuesday our overnight in Seattle and Travis and I get our own room! New hotel this year, the Mayflower, it has a beautiful looking lounge, dinner at 6:30 at Icon Grill, shopping, lights, Christmas, gah!

Who am I kidding, I'm looking forward to everyday in December. Travis and I are also 3 days behind on our advent calendar! Catch up time.

Anywho, hopefully I will be better at taking more pictures. Especially of our Christmas decorations.
