Gym

This Thursday we are taking the train from Bellingham to Seattle to have a short vacation (one night). We got a really great deal on a king suite at the Stadium Hotel on 1st avenue. Travis got a knife bag for Christmas from Anthony's so we are going to some super knife store to stock it up.

We also joined the YMCA today. Our first day going is tomorrow. He's been so sore and stressed from his new job. He really started the full hours at the beginning of the month so it's going to take a while for both of us to get used to it. He leaves at 2 instead of 3 now and is home usually at 11:30.

We have learned a lot about spending time together and making little efforts in our relationship to stay close and connected. We are finding little ways to have the time we are together to be fun, interesting and new. The gym will be a really great way I think.

Bring it on 2011

We've kicked it in high gear for 2011. We are taking the train down to Seattle in a few weeks for a mini vacay. I've never been on the train, so I'm stoked. Staying at the Stadium hotel and lurking a lot.

We're hoping to plan a Vegas trip with friends. I really hope we are able to do that.

Oliver is in love with his kitty city so much. It's so cute. He sleeps in it all the time. He gets cuter every single day.

2011

2011 sounds weird, but so did 2010. Alas a new year. At least it's the start of nice weather for January. During the 'down months' of cold winter I like to make plans, things to look forward to. So far we are planning on taking the train to Seattle. I've never been on a train so that will be a lot of fun.

New Years Eve was spent at work...a very chaotic night at work. Then me and Jaime went to Hearthfire and had a couple drinks at the bar while our boys worked. Then we all went to our place for some snacks and Uno. A pretty great night.

New Years day is always so quiet and dead everywhere. It doesn't feel like Saturday at all. I have Sunday, Monday and Tuesday left of work then my 9 day work week is done. Thank god.

January 6th I'm going to see 'Wizard of Oz' with my mom at Mt. Baker Theater.
